This Mean Green Pride Friday - Sept. 7 - is extra special – we’re at the UNT Bookstore for big savings and a chance to win a $50 gift card.

In celebration of the season opener, the UNT Bookstore is offering students, faculty and staff 20 per cent off all apparel, so you can get your green on for our first home game for less. The Mean Green kickoff at 6 p.m. at Apogee Stadium versus Texas Southern University.

Support UNT and Denton by buying the Mean Green Pride – We’re All In shirt. Proceeds from this design will help fund The Big Event – a volunteer service program that addresses needs in the Denton community.

In 2012, more than 2,000 students participated in events involving children's and older adult programs and environmental activities, among other service projects. The 2013 Big Event will be April 6.

• Bring your UNT ID, and make sure to check in with the Mean Green Pride station from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the bookstore for your chance to win a $50 gift card. Winner will be selected at random the week of Sept. 10.
