Planned software upgrade for UNT portal and EIS Learning Solutions

Some portions of the Health Science Center’s Enterprise Information System (EIS) are being upgraded to stay current with federal regulatory updates and take advantage of new PeopleSoft features and software improvements.   

From noon on Wednesday, Nov. 21, the myUNT portal (my.unt.edu), HSC portal (my.hsc.unt.edu) and the EIS Learning Solutions (myls.unt.edu) web sites will be unavailable until Monday, Nov. 26.

EIS Financials (myfs.unt.edu), www.hsc.unt.edu, and GroupWise are not affected by the outage and will continue to be in service.

EIS business processes that will be out of service during this upgrade include:

• myls.unt.edu, which supports human resources, payroll, advancement and student administration for all UNT campuses.
• The myUNT and myHSC portals, which provide self-service capabilities for faculty and staff (human resources access, academic advising, grading, etc.) and for students (financial aid, registration, grades, payments, etc.)

The early shutdown of the EIS and portal services is required to complete the upgrade and restore services by the following Monday. Many employees at UNT in Denton and here at the Health Science Center will work through the holiday to complete the upgrade.
