SPH Alumni Volunteer Opportunities

Alumni are the School of Public Health's most important partner, and your help with Recruitment & Outreach would be very much appreciated. If you would, please take a moment to complete the Alumni Volunteer Form to let us know that you're interested in helping and select the opportunities you're most interested in.

There are multiple SPH Recruiting events that we would love to have alumni participation below. We realize you may not be available to make the entire event on a particular day, however we encourage you to participate, even if only for 30 minutes or an hour. If you're interested in joining any of these events, please email Dianna.Hosford@unthsc.edu or use the Alumni Volunteer Form to specify which event(s) and timeframe you would like to help out with.

Public Health Student Association Annual Career Roundtable

DATE: November 13, 2012; 3:30 - 5:30 PM

PLACE: UNTHSC MET Building; Rooms 109 – 111

AUDIENCE:

Students at the UNTHSC School of Public Health in Behavioral and Community Health, Biostatistics, Environmental and Occupational Health, Epidemiology, Health Administration, Health Management and Policy, and Public Health Practice concentrations.

PURPOSE:

The purpose of the career roundtable is to expose students to career paths and professional skills within their area of interest in public health.  It is also designed to be a supportive environment for students to ask career and education related questions to prepare them for their future.

Confirmation of participation or questions regarding this event can be sent to Kendra Wilson, kwilson@live.unthsc.edu.  PHSA will need a one-page biosketch once participation is confirmed.

If you plan on attending any of these events, feel free to review updated information about the School of Public Health in the Alumni Recruitment Toolkit. We've also made a list of Frequently Asked Questions that potential students typically bring up.

If you or someone in your organization would like to do a presentation on a public health topic during Tuesday Interludes, which are held each Tuesday from 4:00 - 5:30pm, please contact Misty.Smethers@unthsc.edu.

As SPH Alumni, your participation adds tremendous value. We look forward to collaborating with you and truly appreciate your leadership.
