National Novel Writing Month: A TGIO Party

National Novel Writing Month, or NaNoWriMo, the world’s largest writing event and nonprofit literary crusade, began in 1999 when a San Francisco writers’ group encouraged its members to write each day in November and create 50,000-word novels—about 175 pages before midnight on November 30. Since then, NaNoWriMo has been observed by many libraries, schools, universities, and writing groups.

The UNT Libraries will host the Thank God It’s Over Party where participants of NaNoWriMo 2012 will receive prizes and share what they have learned from writing their novels.
