Blanck Elected to Board of Managers of AMSUS

blanck2005.jpg Ronald R. Blanck, DO, president of UNT Health Science Center, was recently elected to the Board of Managers of the Association of Military Surgeons of the United States.

One of three new members, Dr. Blanck was elected to the board during the AMSUS 111th annual meeting in Nashville, Tenn. All new members will serve a three-year term. Dr. Blanck is a former president of AMSUS.

Dr. Blanck joined the health science center in August 2000 following a 32-year career in the U.S. Army.

At the time of his retirement from the Army, Dr. Blanck was a lieutenant general serving as the Army’s Surgeon General and commander of the U.S. Army Medical Command, which has responsibility for more than 46,000 military personnel and 26,000 civilian employees throughout the world.
