KING JOINS OSTEOPATHIC RESEARCH CENTER AT UNT HEALTH SCIENCE CENTER

HollisKing.jpg Hollis King, PhD, DO, was recently named associate professor of osteopathic manipulative medicine and associate executive director of the Osteopathic Research Center housed at UNT Health Science Center at Fort Worth.

Dr. King was previously an adjunct clinical professor at Western University of Health Sciences and in private medical practice in San Diego, Calif., where he specialized in neuromuscoskeletal system evaluation and treatment used in osteopathic manipulative medicine.

Dr. King is a past president of the American Academy of Osteopathy and was honored by the Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons of California as Physician of the Year in 2002. He was associate professor of family medicine and osteopathic manipulative medicine at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, Calif, where he conducted and published research on the effects of osteopathic manipulative medicine during pregnancy.

A native of San Diego, Calif., Dr. King earned a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from Duke University, a master of science degree in psychology from Trinity University, a doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Louisiana State University and a doctor of osteopathy degree from the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine at the health science center.

Dr. King currently resides in Fort Worth with his wife Susan H. King, PhD.
