TALBERT NAMED CHAIRMAN OF HEALTH MANAGEMENT AND POLICY AT UNT HEALTH SCIENCE CENTER
Jeffery C. Talbert, PhD, was recently named associate professor and chairman of the Department of Health Management and Policy at UNT Health Science Center.Dr. Talbert was previously an associate professor at the Martin School of Public Policy at the University of Kentucky. He also served as director of graduate studies for the master of public administration program, the master of public policy program, the master of health administration program, and the doctoral program.
Dr. Talbert’s research interests include quality analysis of Medicare and Medicaid policies and analysis of the health outcomes of pharmaceuticals.
A native of Port Neches, Texas, Dr. Talbert earned a bachelor of science degree, a master of arts degree and a doctorate in political science from Texas A&M University.
Dr. Talbert currently resides in Austin and Fort Worth with his wife, Tammy, and their three children, Brenden, Marissa and Miranda.
