LEUBNER WINS HAMAN MEMORIAL AWARD AT THE TEXAS COLLEGE OF OSTEOPATHIC MEDICINE SENIOR AWARDS RECEPTION
Kristel Dawn Leubner, DO, won $1,000 and a plaque as this year’s recipient of the Haman Memorial Award at the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine’s senior awards reception.
The Haman Memorial Award is presented annually to a senior student who demonstrates a unique understanding of general and family practice and is committed to entering the primary care field upon graduation. Recipients demonstrate a proficiency in the holistic approach to general practice, including various osteopathic modalities, and possess a distinct interest in service to the profession.
Dr. Leubner, a native of Beaumont, earned a bachelor of arts degree in biology from the University of Texas at Austin and a doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from TCOM. She will complete her residency in family practice at the McLennan County Family Practice in Waco.
The senior awards reception was held May 19 at the Fort Worth Club.
