GRADUATE SCHOOL NAMES TOP CLINICAL RESEARCH AND EDUCATION STUDENT AT BANQUET

gsbs.jpg Richard Virgilio, DO, was named the top clinical research and education student for family medicine at the University of North Texas Health Science Center.

Dr. Virgilio is a native of Voorhees, NJ, and currently resides in Fort Worth.

Currently, Dr. Virgilio is a postdoctoral clinical research fellow in family medicine at the health science center. He plans to combine the clinical practice of medicine with education and research upon completing his fellowship.

Dr. Virgilio plans to graduate in July 2005 with a master of science degree in clinical research and education in family medicine from the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in biology from La Salle University and a doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from Des Moines University. Dr. Virgilio is board certified in family medicine.

Dr. Virgilio received the award at the Graduate Student Association’s annual awards banquet on April 29.
