UNT Health Science Center continues to make headlines in both local and national publications.

The Fort Worth Star-Telegram ran photos and a story about the research at UNT Health Science Center to improve early detection of autism using robotics. NBC Channel 5 and CBS Channel 11 also covered the event.

Dr. Mark Clanton, keynote speaker at the Health Science Center's Health Disparities Conference, was quoted in the Star-Telegram about the American Cancer Society's changes to the way it gets information to young people, including using social media and networking.

Erin Carlson, PhD, assistant professor of Health Management and Policy commented on the Affordable Health Care Act and Gov. Rick Perry's response in a Star-Telegram article.

Scott Walters, PhD, professor of Behavioral and Community Health was a reference in CBS San Francisco story about restrictions on "party buses."

James Simpkins, PhD, professor of Pharmacology and Neuroscience shared some insight into the effects of concussions in the Fort Worth Business Press in response to Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price's bicycle fall last month.

The Dallas Morning News quoted Simpkins and Meharvan Singh, PhD, chair and professor of pharmacology and neuroscience, about how hormone therapy might be able to prevent dementia.
