Outlook 2010 -- Essentials

Are you ready to learn to do more than just send and receive email?  This class is recommended for all Outlook 2010 users.  Learn to use Outlook to get organized by flagging, using categories and folders, using Outlook Today, your calendar and your tasks.  You will learn to personalize Outlook, use tracking, create multiple signatures, archive and save items to reduce your mailbox size, use voting buttons, create auto-replies, manage your contacts and distribution lists and much more.  You will also learn to use the IronPort junk mail filtering system and Outlook Web Access.

Outlook 2010 – Power User

This class is recommended for users who have completed the Outlook 2010 Essential Training or for those users who are ready to become power users.  You will learn to integrate other features into your emails, use additional message options, RSS Feeds, searching, managing shared and personal folders, and to customize toolbars, ribbon and views.  Creating and managing multiple personal calendars and shared calendars will be covered.  You will also learn to automate processes by creating rules and templates.

Introduction to Excel – Office 2010

You will learn to create, format, and print a worksheet. You will use formulas and functions to calculate data. Also in this class you will learn to use an Excel worksheet to sort, filter, outline, and create subtotals in a list of data.

Utilizing Excel 2010 for Data Analysis

In this class you will learn to effectively utilize Excel for data analysis. Data accuracy in a worksheet is extremely important. You will learn to validate your data. Tools such as pivot tables, conditional formatting and filtering, custom sorts, and data consolidation will be taught. You will also create charts which include trendlines and error bars. Included will be hands-on practice completing your worksheet. You will add comments, create a template and protect your workbook.

Introduction to PowerPoint – Office 2010

Learn design techniques to create an effective presentation. You will learn to insert graphics, modify templates, apply color, set transitions and builds, create notes pages, and print handouts. You will also learn to work with graphics, integrate with Excel and Word, insert additional objects, create custom animations, and more.

Using Sitebuilder to Create a UNTHSC Web Page

Does your organization or department need a web page to advertise your programs or services? In this class you will learn to design, create and maintain a web page using SiteBuilder. This page can then be linked to an existing UNTHSC web site. No HTML experience required.

Using WebAdmin to Create/Edit a UNTHSC Website

Does your organization or department need a web page to advertise your programs or services? In this class you will learn to design, create and maintain a web page using SiteBuilder. This page can then be linked to an existing UNTHSC web site. No HTML experience required.

Office 2010 – What’s New & Different

You will learn to use the new features of Office 2010 that are available throughout all applications – i.e., the backstage view, ribbon customization, using screenshots, enhanced picture options and effects, etc.  Office 2010 is all about collaboration and “the cloud”.  You will learn what it is, when to use it, and when not to use it.  The primary emphasis of this class is Word and Outlook.  The ribbon, introduced in Office 2007, is now the basis for Outlook.  So there are many changes and new features in Outlook.  You will also learn to use Office Communicator.

PowerPoint 2010 – What’s New & Different

This class is for the PowerPoint user who is looking to use the new features of Office 2010 to enhance their presentations.  Some of the new features include:  creating sections, enhanced picture, video and text options; the ability to collaborate in “the cloud”, broadcast a PowerPoint presentation, and turn your presentation into a video.
