Dr. Lin, a renowned expert in optical physics, came to UNT from the University of Texas Pan American's Department of Physics and Geology. His research interests include photonics, laser optics, laser-matter interaction, fiber optics, sensors and photonic band gap materials. Dr. Lin's expertise in diffractive optical elements and sophisticated laser techniques has allowed him to develop structural components for state-of-the-art photonic devices from inexpensive materials.
