Fiscal Year 12 is rolling to an end.  For most employees, the fiscal year will end as they leave work tomorrow afternoon, August 31st.  BSC employees will continue working on fiscal year 12 activities in Purchasing, Payments, Human Resources, and Payroll throughout the first week of September.  At the same time BSC staff will be closing the FY12 fiscal year, they will be working on the opening of FY13.

As you are aware, the deadline for entering FY12 requisitions was last Monday, August 20th.  Most requisitions entered after the deadline that included a budget date in FY12 have been denied back to the department and dPro coordinators have been asked to resubmit after September 1st.  Denial of those requisitions is a requirement of the state guideline that requires goods/services be delivered during the year in which they were ordered.  The date of August 20th was determined to be the date that would allow appropriate timing for creation and delivery of the purchase order to the vendor and allow for the delivery of the goods/services within the guidelines.  There are exceptions to the guideline and if you believe you need such an exception, contact  the Director of Purchasing, Carolyn Cross.

All epro coordinators received an update regarding cancellation of epro requisitions in open status on the 28th.  Cancellations have been completed for all open requisitions with budget dates in FY12.  If you need to resubmit a canceled requisition, simply utilize the copy requisition option in the Manage Requisition area of eProcurement.
