The internationally acclaimed Garth Fagan Dance will perform at 8 p.m. Feb. 1 in the Radio, Television, Film and Performing Arts Building, University Theatre.
The troupe, led by artistic director Garth Fagan – the Tony and Olivier award-winning choreographer of Broadway’s The Lion King — will showcase new works and revivals in celebration of its 40th anniversary season.
The New York Times has described Fagan’s work as “unfailingly original” and selected his piece Mudan 175/39 as the third top dance watching moment of 2009. The troupe has performed throughout the United States, Europe, Africa, Asia, the Near and Middle East, North and South America, New Zealand, Australia and the West Indies.
The show is presented by the UNT Fine Arts Series.
Cost: $30 for general public; $15 for faculty, staff and seniors and non-UNT students; free for UNT students with ID
