John Hooper leads the University Information Technology (UIT) department that provides for research, academic, classroom, and departmental IT support services to all UNT campuses in Denton. In addition to the UIT responsibilities, Hooper serves as UNT's CIO where he represents UNT in system level IT governance, development of strategic directions for IT, delivery of IT compliance reporting and development of IT policies and standards in collaboration with ITSS. He also serves as the UNT System Deputy CIO.
