Volleyball team wins West Division in final Sun Belt season

The Mean Green volleyball team finished their years in the Sun Belt Conference as West Division champs and in second place in the season-ending tournament.

Designers put skills to work to support children's charity

A team from the Facilities Department of Design and Construction went all in for the Furniture 4 Kids charity to capture our bold goal of community involvement. The team created a UNT-themed music box named for President V. Lane Rawlins.

Toulouse Graduate School to manage international student applications

Beginning Dec. 3, the graduate school will accept and process international student requests for admission. UNT-International formerly managed international student paperwork. The move will streamline the process for students and the university.

Need for philanthropy explained with student giving activity

The UNT Student Alumni Association and the Division of Advancement is hosting “Students Giving to Students” through Nov. 16 to bring attention to the fact that tuition and fees do not cover the full cost of attending a public university.

College of Education celebrates donors, recipients of scholarships

A dinner for faculty, staff and students thanked those whose generosity helped fund scholarships for the 2012-13 academic year. The College of Education and its departments awarded $137,000 to 161 students.

Champs again! Mean Green soccer wins tournament and season title

The Mean Green defeated Florida International 1-0 to win the post-season tournament. The team also won the regular season championship.

Emerald Eagle Scholars endowment grows, thanks to matching funds

The Emerald Eagle Scholars program, which provides financial assistance to academically talented students with high financial need, reached a milestone in October. An endowment funding the program exceeded $590,000, thanks to support from the U.S. Department of Education and generous donors.
