MILLER NAMED TOP DOCTORAL STUDENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH MANAGEMENT AND POLICY AT UNT HEALTH SCIENCE CENTER
Vanessa Miller, DrPH, RN, was named the outstanding public health doctoral student of in health management and policy at the University of North Texas Health Science Center.
Miller is a native of Tyler and currently resides in Lewisville. She is a graduate of the University of North Texas, holding a bachelor of arts degree in biology. She earned a bachelor of science degree and a master of science degree in nursing from Texas Woman’s University and graduated with a doctorate of public health at the health science center’s spring commencement ceremonies. Miller is also an advanced practice registered nurse.
She plans to continue research in the areas of alcohol and substance abuse policy as well as health disparities.
Miller received the award at the School of Public Health’s annual awards banquet on May 6.
