White Receives Outstanding MPH Graduate Award at UNT Health Science Center

Matthew White, MPH, received the Bob Crow Outstanding MPH Graduate Award from the University of North Texas Health Science Center.

The award is given to the public health student who best exemplifies the caliber of graduate that the School of Public Health would like to be known for. The factors used to select the student include academic performance, research and community service.

White was also inducted into the Alpha Sigma Chapter of Delta Omega, the National Honor Society for Public Health Students and was named to the Dean’s list. He was named the outstanding School of Public Health tutor as well. He is a native of Austin. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin. White earned a master of public health degree from the health science center in commencement ceremonies this spring.

White received the award at the School of Public Health’s annual awards banquet on May 5.
