Mean Green Tailgating Recycling Team: Winning Every Home Game
As the Mean Green Eagles are gearing up for football season, so too is the Office of Sustainability getting ready for tailgating. During the last four football seasons, the Office of Sustainability has been at every home game helping facilitate recycling efforts and reminding tailgaters to recycle. Efforts at Recycling at Tailgating last year diverted more than 500 pounds of plastic and aluminum from landfills.
EPA Campus RainWorks Challenge
The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has announced its Campus RainWorks Challenge for undergraduate and graduate students of college campuses. Students are encouraged to form teams and submit an innovative green infrastructure project design for their campus. The projects purpose is to show how managing stormwater at its source benefits the environment.
