New Mercer research asks: Which benefits do employees value most?

Through our Making Smart Benefit Choices Survey, Mercer posed this question to more than 10,000 workers in 10 markets around the world. We asked which of the commonly offered benefits in their country they value most and whether they’d be willing to pay extra for certain voluntary benefits. We learned about benefit preferences and the trade-offs different employee groups would make, given the opportunity.

US Employers Held Health Cost Growth To 4.1% in 2012

 

Decisive action by employers in 2012 – in particular, moving more employees into low-cost consumer-directed health plans and beefing up health management programs – was rewarded with the lowest average annual cost increase since 1997.
