It's time to show off – and share – your best practices
In order to recognize more outstanding efforts to achieve our mission of becoming a Top 10 health science center, the 2007 President’s Award for Best Practices will be presented to not just one hard-working and creative HSC team, but five, one in each of the mission-centric areas of the institution — administration, academic affairs, clinical affairs, research and community engagement. A “best practice” is a technique or methodology that, through experience and research, has proven to be the best path to a desired result, such as superior performance against key organizational benchmarks. All Health Science Center schools, departments and clinics are encouraged to enter. Start planning now. Entries must be electronically submitted to the Office of Strategy and Measurement by April 2. The Office of Strategy and Measurement has posted more information, submission guidelines and a submission template at: http://www.hsc.unt.edu/departments/IPPI/bestpractice.htm.
You can also contact Doug Mains, DrPH, at ext. 0473, with questions.
