The office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness serves the University of North Texas by providing accurate and reliable data in support of planning, policy making, academic assessment and program reviews, in accordance with the institution's mission and strategic goals. To accomplish it's varied tasks IR&E is structured around two mission-oriented divisions, Institutional Research and Institutional Effectiveness.
The Institutional Research Division (IR) has been organized to provide University executive staff, deans, and department chairpersons authenticated institutional data strategic decision-making, state reporting, college and program accreditation, and grant funding applications.
The Institutional Effectiveness Division (IE) supports the ongoing process of collecting, analyzing, and implementing data-driven decisions as related to the goals and outcomes of the UNT Strategic Plan. IE manages the TracDat database, oversees SETE administration, and is responsible for reporting Institutional Effectiveness to the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).
