Institutionally related foundations play a critical role in the life of a public university. The UNT Foundation plays that role here at the University of North Texas and does so very well. The UNT Foundation provides a flexibility and nimbleness that is otherwise difficult to obtain at a state institution, especially in the areas of gift acceptance and investment management. We depend a great deal upon the UNT Foundation and its outstanding volunteer board to help move the University of North Texas to even greater heights.
The UNT Foundation Board of Directors is comprised of leading business professionals, philanthropists, and community leaders who volunteer their time and expertise in support of the University of North Texas. Most are graduates of UNT and have a desire to give back to the institution that played such a critical role in their professional and personal development. Some never attended UNT, but they participate because they see the University as an important economic and cultural engine within the region and state.
The UNT Foundation is a valued partner with all of us in the Advancement Division of the University of North Texas as we seek to increase gift revenue in support of the many needs within a great university … scholarships, faculty support, capital projects. The UNT Foundation’s commitment to accuracy, accountability, and all-around quality service gives our development staff confidence as they go about their daily contact with University friends and alumni.
