The Financial Aid Office knows that paying for graduate or professional school can be an overwhelming experience for students. It is our goal to provide you, our students, with financial assistance and advice to help you manage the costs associated with your educational pursuits.

 Spring Disbursement Date

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT SPRING 2013 DISBURSEMENTS: The Financial Aid Office will be requesting the funds for Spring 2013 for ALL programs on December 28, 2012.   This is the earliest date we can request funds for the spring semester.  This date falls during the Christmas break, but rest assured our office makes every attempt to request your funds on the scheduled day. Once the funds are received they are sent to Student Financials to process payments/refunds.  If you do not have direct deposit, please note that if you are due any refund the check will not be mailed until after the holiday (due to the New Year's holiday).  It is possible direct deposits may be delayed as well (given the timing of the day we are able to request the funds and the New Year's holiday).  Please try and budget accordingly for this timeframe in case there are any unforeseen technical issues, or delays in refund processing due to the holidays.  

**Disbursement Dates are typically scheduled for about a week before classes start.  If you have accepted aid, completed all documentation (i.e. mpn, entrance counseling, verification) and are enrolled at least half-time, this is the date the Financial Aid Office will begin disbursing aid.  You will NOT receive your aid on this day. Student Financials has 14 days after aid has disbursed to issue refunds to you.  Please contact Student Finance regarding refund questions (StudentFin@unthsc.edu).

**Disbursement: the day we request the funds to be sent to UNTHSC, NOT the day you receive them. Please allow approximately 3-5 business days after the disbursement date for refunds to be processed by Student Financials.

 Federal Perkins Loan: applications are no longer being accepted.
