Art & Design
The College of Visual Arts and Design (CVAD) is home to a host of talented young students who are looking to make a career out of their creative abilities. Not surprisingly, this is one of the most competitive colleges at UNT. In recognition of this fact Housing offers a REAL Community for students in CVAD or students who maintain a strong passion for art and design, though they may have chosen to major in another field. This community provides students with a built-in support group for difficult classes and their associated projects, as well as a jury of peers to review each other's work.
If you were to join the REAL Community for Art and Communication Design, you would encounter:
- Programs at your hall put on by CVAD faculty, graduate and undergraduate students, which deal specifically with your major, giving you insight in your classes.
- A field trip each semester, where you'll be able to visit a location that coincides with your interest in graphic design and fine arts.
- The opportunity to get to know CVAD faculty in a social setting.
- A common room on your floor that will be available for you to work on projects or display artwork.
