Dr. Geoff Gamble, Vice President for Research and Economic Development

Geoff Gamble is the Vice President for Research and Economic Development at the University of North Texas (UNT), the largest university in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and fourth largest university in the State of Texas, with 34,000 students. At UNT, Dr. Gamble is responsible for promoting the University’s mission in research, original scholarship and artistic creativity, facilitating research opportunities at the UNT Discovery Park, and fostering interdisciplinary partnerships among its departments and colleges as well as with other universities, government agencies, and various industries.  He works closely with the Office of the Provost and other vice presidential areas to transform and expand UNT's research enterprise.

They serve as a vital bridge between its academic constituents and the university administration. Their council with deans, faculty, senior administration and staff expedites communication and the implementation of university goals.
