MHA Admissions Requirements & Application Procedures :
Current Program Outline/Curriculum

To be considered for admission, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • The applicant must hold a minimum of a bachelors degree or it's equivalent from a recognized institution. 
  • Applicants to the MHA program may complete an application through the Schools of Public Health Application Service, SOPHAS or through the Healthcare Administration, Management & Policy Centralized Application Services HAMPCAS .
  • Submit complete, official transcripts from all colleges or universities attended
  • Submit official scores from one of the following graduate admissions examinations:

o    Graduate Record Examination (GREinstitutional code 6565

o    Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT)

o    Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT)

o    Law School Admissions Test (LSAT)

o    Pharmacy School Admissions Test (PCAT)

o    Dental School Admissions Test (DAT)

o    The examination requirement is waived for applicants possessing a professional doctoral degree with a license to practice in the United States.

  • Applicants with foreign transcripts must also include an official WES or ECE transcript evaluation report listing course-by-course U.S. grade point equivalencies
  •  International applicants must demonstrate satisfactory proficiency in oral and written English before being granted admission. Minimum requirements: TOEFL scores: written = 550; computer-based = 213; internet based = 79 or IELTS overall band score of 6.5 or better.
  • Three (3) letters of recommendation
  • Statement of Purpose (2 pages double spaced explaining career goals and why this degree is important to reach those goals)
  • Current resume or curriculum vita
  • If invited for an interview, applicants are expected to participate in either an on-campus interview or a technology-assisted interview.

Application Procedures

Applicants complete and submit all necessary application materials to either SOPHAS or HAMPCAS. We do not require a supplemental application. Once the application service receives all your materials they will complete the coursework verification. It is important to submit official transcripts from all universities or colleges attended (includes community colleges) otherwise this will slow down the processing of your application. The application service will then release your application to all universities that were designated in your application. Our Master Admissions Committees meet once a week. It will usually take anywhere from one to two weeks to receive a decision. You will be notified via email and receive an official decision letter.
