The AECT (Association of Educational Communications and Technology) 2012 Convention was held in Louisville, Kentucky October 30 – November 3rd. UNT COI was one of the educational sponsors of the conference and faculty and students from the Learning Technologies Department made a total of sixteen presentations.

COI Research Fridays resume October 19th. The brown bag discussion series is open to all students, faculty and staff to discuss research projects. Dr. Yvonne Chandler has been elected to the Texas Library Association executive board as President-Elect. Dr. Chandler is an associate professor in LIS. Her research areas include legal information services, internet resources and services, and education for library and information services.
