The Board of Advisors serve to guide the development and delivery of LIS programs at the University of North Texas. The DLIS faculty chooses distinguished librarians, information and knowledge professionals as well as practitioner and researchers from related fields to serve a three-year terms on the Department’s Board of Advisors. The Board meets each spring for a full day session to offer advice and directions to the students, faculty and department’s programs. The board offers invaluable insight into the preparation needs of students entering the information and knowledge professions.
