The Campus Visit Experience

Researching websites and reviewing brochures provides important information for your college search, but nothing can beat an actual visit when choosing a college or university! UNT Dallas offers several options for visiting campus. Just let us know which option works best for you! To schedule your visit to UNT Dallas, follow the links below. The Individual Experience (for Prospective Freshmen)

Your path in life is unique.  Understanding how UNT Dallas can help you further define your path and achieve your goals will be an important part of your visit. You’ll learn about admission, financial aid and scholarships and you’ll meet faculty who are committed to student success. Individual visits may be scheduled Monday thru Thursday based on availability. Tell us where you visualize your path taking you and then experience first-hand how your dreams may become reality.

First Fridays (For Prospective Transfer Students)
 

First Fridays! Are specialized Transfer Friday programming tailored for prospective students who wish to transfer coursework from a community college or university.

At First Fridays! you will:

  • Gain insight about the admission process
  • Learn more about financial aid and scholarships at UNT Dallas
  • Meet with faculty regarding your major
  • Receive an unofficial evaluation of transferrable college credit

* In order to receive your evaluation, transcripts (unofficial transcripts are okay) MUST be received no later than 5:00pm on the Friday 1 week prior to your scheduled visit.  Please note that ONLY transcripts (official or unofficial) will be accepted for evaluations.   Due to time constraints, we are unable to evaluate transcripts received after the deadline.

Transfer Mondays (For Prospective Transfer Students)

"Transfer Mondays" are designed for prospective students who wish to transfer coursework from a community college or university. These evening visits include information about transfer admission requirements, financial aid and scholarship opportunities and an introduction to the academic programs offered at UNT Dallas. Attendance at Transfer Mondays requires registration. Space is limited. Sign up today.

The Group Experience (for Prospective Student Groups)

Are you the coordinator for or a member of a group that would like to experience UNT Dallas? We welcome student groups to join us to visit our campus and learn more about UNT Dallas and all that we have to offer. Group visits will include admission information, and an overview of financial aid and scholarship opportunities. If you like what you learn while you're here, we encourage you to come again for an individual visit and experience UNT Dallas based on your unique goals and interests. Please note: Group visits to campus are available on Tuesdays and Thursdays based on availability. Requests must be made at least three weeks in advance. We cannot gaurantee that groups over 50 students can be accommodated. Please submit your request on-line and a representative will contact you to set-up your visit.

The Youth Experience

College Readiness is essential. Exposure to higher education from a young age sets the stage for early preparation. We welcome visits from individual students and groups grades 7-10. Students will learn about things like preparing for college, college admission, financial aid and scholarships and tour the campus.

Group visits to campus are available Monday through Friday, 10:00a.m. to 12:00p.m. based on availability. In order to have the best possible campus visit, we limit the size of the group to a maximum of 50 students and require one adult for every 20 students. Requests must be made at least three weeks in advance.  If any members of the group have special needs, please specify so that we may accommodate your request or connect you with the appropriate services.

While students are welcome to eat lunch on campus, the Office of College Readiness is unable to provide meals. Groups may bring their own lunch, or  for additional information about dining options please call 972.780.3661.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to university holidays, no tours will be given September 5, November 24-25, December 26-30, January 16, May 28, or July 4.

The Graduate Experience

Choosing a graduate program is one of the most important decisions you can make in your lifetime. Most potential students have questions about program requirements, costs, and entrance exams. True Blue (open house event for prospective high school students)

Would you like to find out more about UNT Dallas? Attend True Blue on Saturday, November 3rd from 8:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. You'll meet UNT Dallas professors, learn about academic programs, meet your admission counselor, learn about financial aid and scholarships AND we'll waive your application fee. We look forward to seeing you at True Blue!

When you arrive

We are located at 7300 University Hills Blvd. in Dallas, Texas 75241. Upon arriving on campus, campus visitors should park in the designated visitor parking north of the campus entrance.  Campus visit check-in is located at the Jaguar Information Desk on the first floor of the 7300 building.  A visitor pass will be issued at check-in.  Please arrive early to allow time for check-in and parking pass retrieval.
