The University encourages students to apply for scholarship assistance through all sources available.   Most scholarships have a deadline for application and other specific criteria that must be met. The dollar value of a scholarship along with other financial aid awards cannot exceed the estimated cost per year of student expenses as determined by the Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships (SFAS).  In the administration and awarding of scholarships, no person shall be subject to discrimination on any basis prohibited by applicable law or university policy, including but not limited to race, color, national origin, religion, sex, age, sexual orientation, disability or Vietnam veteran status.
