The University of North Texas and Apogee have partnered to provide network service and support to your residence. To make sure you're connected the day you arrive, follow the steps below as early as August 1st to register for service. Because everyone uses the internet differently, Apogee lets you choose the ResNet service that's right for you. The speed you choose will determine how fast you can browse, stream and download from the network, as well as how many mobile device you can connect at one time (like a smartphone, wireless printer or gaming system.) Basic service is 5 Mbps with an option to upgrade to a faster speed for an additional fee. Wireless internet is available to all students living in the residence halls.
It's easy to sign up for an Apogee account:
- Go to the My ResNet web site at http://www.myresnet.com.
- Click on the "Create my Account" button on the webpage and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Upon completion of the sign up process, you will be assigned an Apogee username and password. Keep this information confidential and do not share it with anyone.
For assistance or support, call Apogee's Network Support Center toll-free at 1-888-478-8871. Live representatives are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Alternatively, you may text "RESNET" to 84700 and an Apogee representative will call you back.
There are some restrictions on the new service in order to maximize the efficiency of this community resource. Routers, access points and other devices can interfere with network equipment; these are not allowed on the new ResNet.
