HOW MUCH IS A UNT LICENSE PLATE?

The annual fee is $30 in addition to the regular registration fee.

When you purchase a UNT license plate, $22 goes to fund scholarships at UNT and is tax deductible. Renewals can be made online or by mail.

HOW DO YOU GET A UNT LICENSE PLATE?

Take the application and your current validation sticker to your local county tax assessor's office and pay the indicated fee.

What if I already have a UNT plate and want the new design?

If your plate is less than 5 years old, the cost of replacement is $5.30. If the license plate is over 5 years old, replacement is free of charge. Just visit your local tax assessor-collector office.
