Since obtaining her doctoral degree from the University of North Texas in Applied Technology, Training, and Development in 1997, Dr. Swain has a wide range of experiences in academia. She has been the leader of a large research strand. She received the best undergraduate teacher award from the University of Florida. Currently, Dr. Swain serves as Director of the School of Education at The University of Texas at Tyler.
