As part of an improvement in our governance structure, the IT Program Management Committee (ITPMC) Charter was revised and approved during the last quarter of Fiscal Year 2011-2012. The most essential changes in the revisions are new quorum rules and new voting rules.

ITSS Managers & Directors go to Boot Camp

During the last quarter, 31 managers from UNT System’s IT Shared Services (ITSS) & Business Service Center attended six days of training led by Randy Pennington, President of the Pennington Performance Group.  In separate two-a-day sessions, the ITSS Leadership Team attended three sessions led by Pennington.  The incentive behind the training was to help ITSS continue building a collaborative environment that has shared goals and trusting relationships.  Examples of topics covered were communication, accountability, t

Important Improvements made to Backup Systems and Supporting Infrastructure

A project has been completed to leverage newly acquired infrastructure insight and capabilities into an extremely robust and resilient backup solution for IT systems that are the responsibility of IT Shared Services.
