In a six-way race for three alderman seats in the City of West, Brian Muska, Stevie Vanek and Cheryl Marak were elected.
In West ISD, Crystal Middleton-Anthony pulled out a narrow victory of just over 100 votes over David Eubanks (1,289-1,162). - With about 66% reporting, the three Riesel ISD trustee candidate standouts include only one incumbent.

More on the truck wreck shutting down northbound Interstate 35...- From TxDOT: Large wreck on I-35 NB at Abbott in Hill Co. A semi hit a barrier wall. All mainlanes are closed. Officials anticipate 2-3 hours to clear and advise alternate routes.
