U.S. Representative Fred Upton (R-St. Joseph) speaks at Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations hearing concerning the deadly meningitis outbreak that has sickened some 438 individuals nationwide and has resulted in at least 32 deaths (as of November 14, 2012). Michigan currently leads the nation in reported cases of the deadly disease. Entitled "The Fungal Meningitis Outbreak: Could It Have Been Prevented?", the investigative hearing examines cause of outbreak to ensure such a tragedy never happens again.
