Daily reported in the West has been the concerted repression of “democracy activists” (with little acknowledgment to the civil chaotic tyre burning, road blocking, molotov throwing, house burning disobedience except once in a while) supported that are promoting democracy as freedom and liberty on the Arabian Peninsula that the West tends to boast and yet we barely hear about who has promoted the word, the term that doesn’t really exist on their own soil. We are hypocritically condemned for our reactions not that some of our actions are correct-every reaction is based on an action however I have not seen Amnesty, or Human Rights or the United Nations set up mass meetings with regards to Western actions as they are constantly in meetings and hearings with regards to ours.

One of the secrets of media manipulation is to report the horror and strife of the world as though Western power, interests and machinations did not exist. Vast poverty, injustice and chaos in the Third and Arab World are depicted as unconnected to the cool oasis of civilisation in Europe and the United States, which look on benignly but helplessly, or pitch in heroically to right wrongs as far as they are able to- when they choose to.

Little will you hear about how they initiated the democracy promotion, creating an opposition in every nation and that this has been occuring on the ground for decades and little will you read about the results of the promotion that lead us to the battle fields we face today. The democracy promotion did not take into account the lives caught in the turmoil and the aftermath which is never really reported unless for the benefit of what the West is looking for.

Before I go on and before being promoted further as if we didn’t know as if we are not educated or knowledgeable enough without Western interference, we all know what democracy is, and we have seen ”democracy” at work for hundreds of years now. We all understand that democracy is by the people and for the people however today we are seeing another concept being introduced to us by the Western powers that be and this is “democracy with guns” - in the name of democracy and protecting people – and in the process very harsh, violent and destructive action is being taken against other  countries with no accountability.

Hillary Clinton stated and it’s an important factor to just sink in and understand, “I think it’s important to recognize that back when the streets of Arab cities were quiet, the National Democratic Institute was already on the ground, building relationships, supporting the voices that would turn a long Arab winter into a new Arab Spring.” Has anyone questioned what the NDI was doing on the ground while the Arab streets were quiet and which voices were they really supporting, certainly not everyones. As far as we have seen they have financed, encouraged and supported an opposition in every Arab country, as if commanding the threat and swaying the revolt and yet when things go wrong pull back as if they were never involved at all.

For more than a quarter-century, NDI and its siblings in the National Endowment for Democracy family have become vital elements of America’s “engagement” with the world however the only real engagement I have seen has been disastrous and damaging.

The media will never report any of this, or perhaps they will in ten years time- a bit like Iraq- because its job is to report the world from the perspective, not of people, but of power. What difference has democracy or a vote made and can someone prove that a vote has bought about peace or real change? Has it really bought freedom that they so like to talk about, export, encourage and spend numerous amounts of money and manpower on -leaving themselves and the rest of the world in debt - and yet have many limitations to? I guess it has filled many pockets but what is the freedom they are really trying to sell that we didn’t already have besides a vote and what difference has an elected society made to the people that go about their daily lives and then let’s think about those who really run those democratic states as they like to be termed.

The Western figures with their major international media presence with the assistance of their bloggers that have held a hand in trying to promote democracy constantly tell us that “oppressed” people crave “democracy,” and that only a democratic world will be free and peaceful and yet I have still seen people go out and demonstrate in the “free world”  freely and we see the same “reactions to actions” in the West as Alex Vitale recently wrote “NYPD Greets Evidence of Mishandling of Occupy Protests With Shameful Closed-Door Policy”

A recent report by the Protest and Assembly Rights Project highlights the many ways that the New York Police Department has violated both constitutional and international human rights standards in its policing of the Occupy Wall Street movement. These problems are not new. In 2003 and again in 2004, the New York Civil Liberties Union documented extensive failings in NYPD protest policing including unlawful preemptive arrests, restrictions on access to protest areas, excessive subdividing and “penning in” of demonstrators, extensive restrictions on permits, use of force and violent arrests for minor legal violations, inflexibility, and poor communication with demonstrators. These are the same problems identified by the new report.

President Bush launched a campaign to bring “freedom and democracy” to the world and Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama have
continued to market the term or the idea with no respect or thought to democratically ask if everyone was interested in their so called “freedom” which is not really “free”.

Who as an example really runs the United States that was “democratically elected”? Barack Obama? No not really you got
that wrong that’s what they would like you to believe, its show business while the real business behind the scenes with the same people in the background that really have run the show unelected for decade after decade, president after president. But then you already know that, and if you don’t you can read more here and I don’t feel the need to explain time and time again and for the ones who pretend that they still don’t know simply search the net and read.

We are mocked time and time again when we speak about threats and yet when the West speaks of a constant eluding threat which we have heard for decades it is accepted as the gospel. The US and the UK have earned the dubious reputation of pursuing double standards and making unsubstantiated allegations against a country which it wants to browbeat when it is to their advantage, not really to the advantage of the people.

It’s been a long time since I last wrote, but I have noticed nothing much has changed in the last few months. The media is still at work, [human rights are giving their all but not on society as a whole and then it is run by the same people particularly in our region and funded in reality for the sake of resource not humanity] of course for those who own and run the media, not for the sake of the people. The same ex expats are still blogging more so as if truly concerned about the status of Bahrain and the region as a whole while concentrating particularly on the chosen emirate, in fact the same ex expats commenting as if an authority yet all they are really concerned about is a change so they can probably come back to a land they yearn to be, in a place they once spent their childhood, selfish reasons really, paid reasons too pushing and pulling and doing their best to anger people to recreate emotions that have subsided.

A majority of the people as a whole have grown tired of the daily behaviour of those supported by democracy promotion, lives have changed a lot, everyone’s life has been affected by the recent turmoil, many you will never really hear or read about because we are not news, and the damage has hit a very small Island in the middle of the Arabian Gulf that the international media like to term as the ”Persian Gulf Arab state” with no respect to whom the title would offend as if intentional.

Not many people around the world heard of the Kingdom of Bahrain before February 14, 2011, before we became known as a country affected by the premeditated “Arab Spring” [despite all the proof there are some that will still deny and the paid PR will be denying this including some of our own], and we all know that the NDI was working in the background raising the voices they chose to create chaos in the region. As long as there is chaos they are needed in some way shape or form, if they left us in peace their services would no longer be required, quite simple.

We were a nation that once took care of each other, smiled together and did not accept interference from the outside world, we are educated people, enriched in every way and should be able to solve our own problems and yet we still look to the west for solutions and for advice. The solution to each crisis is not difficult to solve and yet we haven’t solved anything, not because we can’t but because of constant interference and mind you not because of humanity but because of resource.

We have a multi-cultural society with all the religions in the world in one place, we have an educated population that have every answer to any question, that have every solution to every problem and yet we look to parts of the world for advice that hasn’t answered their own questions or solved their own problems and that is the greatest error.

I disagree with the Arab world having to explain to the West who has done no more than destroy this earth piece by piece in search not for humanity but in search of sources to replenish their stocks with no thought of the lives they have left behind or the destruction they leave with disregard of the aftermath that is where the real battles lie.

We have the people, we have the resources, we have the money, we just need the vision, determination and a little hard work to see it through. Isn’t it time for a change to resolve our differences with dialogue without external entities involved that should not be allowed to be involved? It does not harm to shout, raise your voice, scream at one another and it’s much easier and cheaper than fighting and we can do that without interference, I don’t remember the West adopting us.

A person places their hand over their mouth for fifty years and suddenly removes it, what is expected of them? They will explode saying things that you will never expect, but it’s alot better than fighting one another to our death, while the world pokes and watches us destroy the very Arab brotherly and sisterly ties we had once held together. While the world watches us destroy and promotes our very own destruction. One by one.

There are two kinds of battles, a battle you will see transported around the world to every television set, ever printable media, every possible online feed that is not to our benefit although you may think it is and then there is a battle that only those that go out and look for it with an open heart and in search of the truth will see that we can solve this and end this problem on our own.
