Massachusetts – A man with explosives threatened residents in Hampshire County on Sunday.
The ARC of Central Massachusetts deployed team members and provided canteen services to emergency responders in the staging area.
Disaster Alert: Forest Fire in California

California – Three homes were destroyed and residents evacuated due to a forest fire that started in Lake County yesterday.
As of 7:55pm yesterday the fire had burnt 300 acres and was 20% contained.
The Sonoma, Mendocino and Lake Counties Chapter supported a shelter opened by the Lake county. The shelter was later placed on standby.
Disaster Alert: Dust Storm in Oklahoma

Oklahoma – A dust storm in Kay County led to a multi car accident and closure of part of Interstate 35 yesterday.
Blowing dust advisory is in effect for much of north central Oklahoma through this evening.
The Cherokee Strip Chapter and Region reached out to Local Emergency Management officials and are prepared to support with resources as necessary.

Mississippi – Severe storms with strong winds went through Leake, Scott, Newton, Neshoba and Sharkey counties overnight causing sporadic damage. There are reports of possible injuries in two counties.
The East Central Mississippi and Mississippi Capital River Chapters are monitoring the situation and will be doing disaster assessment.
Disaster Alert: Brush Fire in North Dakota

North Dakota – A brush fire burnt many structures, prompted evacuations, destroyed power lines and caused the temporary closure of parts of US Highway 12 in Adams County yesterday.
The West Dakota Chapter has placed a shelter on standby and is working with partners to feed and hydrate about 177 firefighters. Chapter is working with Emergency Operations Centers and will be doing disaster assessment when conditions permit.

Nebraska – Three forest fires in Cherry, Custer and Madison counties resulted in the evacuation of a small community in Cherry County yesterday.
The Central Plains Chapter will be doing disaster assessment to determine the extent of damage and provide the necessary assistance.
