You guys know as well as I do how much is on the line for No. 11 Clemson when it hosts No. 12 South Carolina on Saturday in Death Valley.

Yes, Steve Spurrier. Death Valley is real, and it's spectacular.

With a win, the Tigers break their three-game losing streak in the series and stay alive in their quest to win an at-large berth into the BCS. Now on to some quick facts to get you warmed up for the game Saturday night, thanks to Tim Bourret -- SID guru at Clemson.
  • This will be the biggest game in the history of the Clemson-South Carolina rivalry when it comes to combined victories for the two programs entering the game. The schools have combined for 19 wins, more than any other previous meeting. Clemson is 10-1 and South Carolina is 9-2 entering the contest. This actually is the second straight year that record has been broken. Last year, both schools were 9-2 entering the game for a total of 18 wins. This is the first time Clemson has faced three straight top 25 South Carolina teams.
  • This will be the sixth time both schools have entered the game ranked in the Top 25 of at least one of the polls. South Carolina has a 3-2 lead in games in which both teams are ranked in the Top 25 entering the contest.
  • This is the second time in history both teams enter the game ranked in the top 15. The only other time was in 1987 in Columbia, when Clemson was eighth in both polls and South Carolina was 12th. South Carolina won that contest 20-7.
