An Afghan living near the village of Daste Riwat in Panjshayr province socializes with Owen Schumacher, President of Remote HydroLight, during a recent tour of his micro-hydropower plant facility May 21, 2011. The installation of the unit was part of a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers contract awarded in late 2006 to Remote HydroLight and Advanced Engineering Associates International to construct 105 units in seven of 34 Afghan provinces.
