Barrow to Host Veterans Breakfast PDF Print

November 8, 2012

WASHINGTON – On Tuesday, November 13, 2012, Congressman John Barrow (GA-12) will host a Veterans Day Breakfast for our nation's heroes in the 12th District in Augusta. More than 100 veterans from across the district will participate in the annual gathering hosted by Congressman Barrow.

Jim Lorraine, Executive Director of the Augusta Warrior Project, will moderate the breakfast with presentations from Robert Hamilton, Director of the Charlie Norwood VAMC, Beverly Lloyd, Georgia Department of Veterans Services, and Steve Furrer, Atlanta VA Regional Office.

"Every year, we gather veterans from across this district to thank them for their service to our country," said Congressman Barrow. "It's an honor to meet with these folks and hear their stories, and to ensure they're getting the best possible support from us after their dedicated service. I'm looking forward to visiting with them, and encourage veterans from around the district to join us, if possible."
