- I supported National Transit Week by joining passengers, transit workers and advocates at a rally at DART West End Transit Center and took a ride on DART to draw attention to the vital role public transportation plays in the Dallas economy. I was able to meet some members of the Dallas Police force.

Congressman Ryan introduced a budget, which is supported by Governor Romney and House Republicans, that would do irreparable damage to our Medicare system. The Ryan-Republican Plan transforms Medicare into a voucher system, increasing costs...for seniors and subjecting them to the whims of private insurance companies.
