How does the individual portray that core value?
Staff Sgt. Beck never settles for less than his best as an NCO, supervisor and air traffic watch supervisor. He continually strives to improve himself and sets the standard for his peers to follow. He is dual rated at RAF Mildenhall and RAF Fairford where his expertise in both air traffic and the airfield automation system has been integral to both missions’ support.

Why is serving in the Air Force important to you?
Serving in the Air Force is important to me because I feel like I am a part of something that not many people get to experience. I feel like I am contributing to the protection of my country and fulfilling my patriotic duty. Being a member of the Air Force was my only choice while I was in high school due to my love of aviation.

What accomplishment during your Air Force career are you most proud of?
The accomplishment I am most proud of during my Air Force career would be my achievement medal from my deployment. During my deployment I learned so much and got to work with some of the best people I’ve ever had the ability to work with. The things I had the opportunity to work and situations I was involved in I still remember to this day. The medal I received is a reminder of my time I spent there and my work/personal accomplishments I took part in.

What are your personal and/or professional goals?
My personal goals would be to help instill important ethics and morals into my daughter as well as being a great husband to my wife. My college education is important to me and will help satisfy an accomplishment in my life that will benefit both in the military and out. My professional goals are to become a better air traffic control, watch supervisor and supervisor to my subordinates. I do believe that in life you only get what you put into it, and I strive to do as well as I can.

What is your favorite part of your job?
My favorite part of my job would be the complexity. Some days there is not much going on but then there are some that it is really busy. I always learn something new every day.
