Bio

Upon graduation from the University of Alabama in 1978, Davis worked as sports editor of the Shades Valley Sun, at the time Alabama's largest weekly newspaper. In 1983, Davis won the Alabama Press Association Award for the best Sports Feature Story.

He spent a year as editor of Lindy's Football Annuals, before returning to the Sun as editor in 1988. In 1990, Davis worked as a press aide in the Bill Cabaniss for U.S. Senate campaign, and later served as an assistant to former Birmingham Mayor George Seibels.

Davis made his radio debut in 1992, hosting a sports trivia/talk show on a station in the Birmingham market. He came to Crawford Broadcasting in 2003, as the host of "Looking Back With Lee Davis" on WYDE 101.1 FM The Source.

The show then changed to "The Lee Davis Show" airing in mid-day and morning drive slots on 101.1 FM before moving over to WXJC AM 850/92.5 FM in September 2007 and returning to 101.1 FM in January of 2009. Davis presently hosts The Lee Davis Show, weekdays from 11AM-1PM, which looks at current events from a Christian/moral perspective.
