Brigadier General Edward A. "Ed" Fienga is the Deputy Director, Air, Space and Cyberspace Operations, Headquarters Air Force Space Command. The directorate is responsible for organizing, training, and equipping Air Force Space Command units for space and cyberspace operations and integrating space and cyber capabilities at the operational level of war. Mission areas include missile warning, space control, spacelift and range operations, satellite command and control, nuclear event detection, airfield operations, network operations, network defense and cyber warfare. The directorate executes an annual operations and maintenance budget of $1 billion supporting 46,000 personnel assigned to 88 locations worldwide and deployed to an additional 35 global locations.

General Fienga entered the Air Force in 1986 as a graduate of The Citadel. He has served in various capacities, including assignments as an Airborne Weapons Director on the E-3A Airborne Warning and Control System, a Legislative Fellow on Capitol Hill, a joint space combat operations planner and a programmer on the Air Staff formulating space and missile budgets. General Fienga has commanded at the squadron and Air Base Group levels.
