Valerie L. Muck, a member of the Senior Executive Service, currently serves as the Assistant Auditor General, Acquisition, Logistics, and Financial Audits Directorate, Air Force Audit Agency, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. She is responsible for planning, executing, and reporting Air Force-wide audits addressing procurement, weapon system acquisition, wholesale and retail supply, maintenance, and finance. Ms. Muck began her government career in 1983 as an enlisted member of the U.S. Air Force. She began her civilian career with the Air Force Audit Agency in 1989 as a co-operative education student.

Ms. Muck has held audit positions at various locations and
levels of responsibility throughout the Air Force Audit Agency - including Chief, Policy, Oversight, and Systems Division, Operations Directorate; associate director; program manager; audit manager; team chief; and auditor. Her most recent assignment was Politico-Military Planner, Joint Staff, Directorate of Strategic Plans and Policy, Deputy Directorate for Europe/NATO/Russia, Eastern Europe and Eurasia Division. In June 2010, Ms. Muck completed a Master of Science Degree in National Resource Strategy from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces. Prior to attending graduate school, she served three years in various career broadening positions within the acquisition and contracting functional areas. Ms. Muck is a graduate of the Defense Leadership and Management Program and the Air Force Civilian Senior Leader Program. Ms. Muck was appointed to the Senior Executive Service in July 2012.
