The Hill reports that the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has signed a $20 million deal with a public relations firm to produce a multimedia ad campaign promoting Obamacare this election season:
The Obama administration has already spent millions of taxpayer dollars on a TV ad featuring Andy Griffith to promote the unpopular and controversial health care law. In 2004, Democrats denounced a $12.6 million HHS ad campaign promoting the prescription drug benefit. "Taxpayer funds should not be used to wage an ideological or political campaign," congressional Democrats wrote in a letter to then-Secretary of Health and Human Services Tommy Thompson.
