Washington, DC- Cedric Richmond (LA-02), who sits on the House Committee on Homeland Security, today announced $7.8 million in federal funding for hurricane recovery efforts at Mahalia Jackson Elementary School in New Orleans as well as Westwego Police Department Building and City Hall in Jefferson Parish.
“I am proud to announce this funding which is so critical to providing needed support for the recovery and quality of life for Louisianans who are still striving to piece together their lives,” said Rep. Cedric Richmond. “Last year, I visited with the students at Mahalia Jackson Elementary and it means a great deal to me to be able to celebrate with the families and students who will benefit from these improvements.
