WHILE WALLSTREET IS BOOMING, DEMOCRATS THREATEN ECONOMY
07/17/07Washington, D.C., Jul 17, 2007 -
House Conference Secretary John Carter (TX-31) released the following statement about the Dow Jones Industrial Average rising above the record 14,000 mark.
“Once again we are seeing the benefits of the pro-growth Republican policies put in place over the past twelve years. Americans are happy with the economy, and rightly so. We are experiencing new jobs, low unemployment, a booming stock market and higher tax receipts. Hard working American families are feeling the benefit of a sustained economy where it counts most-in their wallets.
“For 12 years, conservative principles fought to cut taxes, create more jobs and spur robust economic progress. Now, Democrats in Congress are threatening American economic progress by passing bloated spending bills, setting the wrong fiscal priorities and imposing the largest tax hike in American history.”
